Blepharitis commonly occurs when tiny oil glands located near the base of the eyelashes malfunction. Blepharitis can be uncomfortable and may be unattractive, but it usually doesn't cause permanent damage to your eyesight.
Symptoms of blepharitis include Watery, Red, and/or Itchy Eyes, Light sensitivity, and loss of eyelashes. If you have any of these symptoms you should contact your doctor right away.
