Daily Disposable: are worn for just one day and then discarded. They are currently the most popular and safest of all contact lens modalities. Patients wear a fresh pair of contacts every day. Daily disposables are also an excellent lens to wear during the springtime allergy season. Virtually no infections or allergies when using daily disposable contacts.
Two-Week Contacts: also need to be removed nightly. These contacts must be cleaned, rinsed and sterilized on a daily basis and discarded every 2 weeks. Daily disinfection of these re-useable contacts is required to prevent eye infections.
Cosmetic Contacts: can change the color of your eyes, even if vision correction is not needed. They can also be used to improve the appearance of eyes that have been severely damaged from trauma.

Gas permeable contact lenses (GPCL) are rigid lenses. Some patients are very happy with the sharp vision achieved with these lenses. Patents with keratoconus are usually fit with this type of lens.
